The Journey of Taxila

Taxila Institute has been in its third year of operation. It once was one of the five departments of Youth Social Force - Foundation (YSF) until late 2015, named the Department of Youth Development. The Founder, Ye Pyae Thu, saw the needs of providing soft-skills training at a larger scale and faced the challenges that a small non-profit organizational structure couldn't be self-sustained solely on donation.

Thus, with the goal of creating bigger impacts on the community, Taxila Institute was separated from the YSF Foundation and registered as one of the subsidiaries of Hexagon Social Enterprise Co.,Ltd. With the strong support of the Myanmar Ministry of Education and the public universities under its administration, Taxila has achieved such accomplishments with a short time period. However, a long journey has yet to be continued.
