Educational Technology for Basic Education 

Introduction

As thousands of educators are staying at home during the coronavirus pandemic, Taxila has introduced synchronized online training series using innovative blended-learning to better provide them with an alternative to quality education. One of these training series is the "Educational Technology for Basic Education" certificate course, which is specially designed for current teachers and student teachers from primary, middle and high schools across Myanmar. The details of the program are as follow. 

Course Sections

In this course, you will be placed in one of the three following sections

  • Batch 2 & 3: 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM (Sat and Sun) Feb 6 - 28

Eligibility

In this course, the following applicants will be eligible to apply for

  • (For Batch 3) be a teacher from a private or public school, or be a freelance teacher

  • (For Batch 2) be a student teachers from a University of Education or an Education Degree College

  • (For Both Batches) have reliable internet and a smartphone (having a laptop is a plus, but not necessary)

Fee

As this course is to better provide you with an alternative to quality education while you are staying at home during the coronavirus pandemic, this course is provided free of charge.

 

However, you are expected to donate to the Taxila Teachers Development Program (TTDP), an innovative professional development program organized by the Taxila Institute and supported by the Myanmar Ministry of Education. The expected donation fees are as follows. 

  • a minimum of 9,000 MMK (if you are a student teacher)

  • a minimum of 18,000 MMK (if you are working at a government school)

  • a minimum of 75,000 MMK (if you are working at a private school or a freelance teacher)

 

An applicant shall transfer a donation payment to our bank accounts before applying and shall attach the payment receipt in the application. Failure to transfer the donation can lead to a late fee or the withdrawal of your application from the course. (If you have to leave your home to transfer the donation fee at a bank or an agent amidst the stay-at-home regulations, please contact the following phone numbers so that we can send you a "Letter of Guarantee" to allow you to transfer at a later period in time)
